Notice of Photography & Recording
By attending a National Alliance for Recovery Residences' (NARR) Best Practices Summit or other event, you enter a space where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By doing so, you consent to the possibility of appearing in interviews, photography, audio, and video recording and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction. This includes but is not limited to inclusion on websites, social media, webinars, news segments, promotional material, or any other purpose by NARR and its representatives. Recordings and photography may be used to promote similar events, highlight the summit, and demonstrate the impact and capabilities of NARR. You release NARR, its officers, employees, and all individuals involved from any liability in conjunction with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, images, or video/audio recordings.
When you enter the summit, you waive all rights you may have to claims for payment or royalties related to the use of these materials, regardless of: (a) the purpose or sponsoring of such use, and (b) whether an admission fee or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by NARR or its contractors before publication or use.
You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release for all forms of recording before entering the event.
NARR is aware that some sessions may be inappropriate to record due to the sensitive nature of their topics. Recording can hinder meaningful conversation and growth as participants worry about who might later hear personal details, particularly in closed conversations for marginalized populations.
